KRKA NATIONAL PARK WALKING TOUR


Where?
This walk begins at Skradin town center (see the map) and finish at Skradinski buk Waterfall. If it is too much walking for you please mention it in a special requirements during the booking and we will sort it out.

When?
Start times at 10 am or 2 pm. During the summer months, the tour starts at 8.30 am, to avoid the summer heat and crowd of tourists. You also can request the time which suit to you. Please be sure to contact us prior to a tour using the contact form!

How long?
Usually this tour lasts 4 hours during which you’ll see everything there is to see. It can be prolonged though, depending on the amount of questions you want to ask! 🙂

How much?
Tour cost 50 Euro per person for more than two person in a group. And 60 Euro per person if just two of you in a group. Children under 7 years old is free of charge. Children and teenagers from 7-18 years old – 50%.The entry ticket to Krka National park is extra and depends on season.. If you would like a car transfer to Krka National Park, we can arrange it for you at an additional cost. Please indicate the number of people and where you want the transfer from and we will prepare an offer for you regarding your request.

This Krka National park walk does pretty much exactly what it says on the title…
There is far too much to mention, but a few snippets you might see and glean include small town which is dating from 339 BC, river which started under waterfall, Ice Age, melting, salty and fresh water, sea level which was on 95 meters lower, dry rock fences, First Croatian hydro power station which was the second AC-generating hydroelectric project in the world, Franciscan monastery where Franciscans escaped from Ottomans army but Ottoman Sultan returned monastery to Franciscans, Serbian Orthodox monastery which was founded by wife of Croatian nobleman and sister of Serbian Tsar ( quite rare mix marriage today), unrecognized state of Serbska Krajna, Croatian operation “Storm” against unrecognized state, eight waterfalls (one of them is underwater waterfall), effect of calcareous sinter, the most powerful family in Croatia in the middle Ages, Romans (how could I forget the Romans), trade routes, an ancient Roman roads, 1st century Roman legionary camp, military amphitheater, hajduks, small balustrade lookout point built for monarch whose nephew assassination started World War one, karst phenomenon, mills, caves, only poisonous snake, and quite a lot more.
